People:Harry and myself

Duration:fished 4.30pm to 8.30pm

Tide:flood

Weather:nice and mild slight variable winds

Bait:frozen macks mussell squid and crab

Rigs:bits and bobs

Results:codling whiting ling and Octipus

Report:well i have been itching to get out for a spin latley but one thing or another put a stop to it,sfter looking at the boat species list for the year all that was needed to make up 30 was 1 more species.
so i decided to make the most of the winds and give it one more shot and probably my last trip of the year.quick call to harry for one last short notice trip and he jumped at the chance :D i fancied my chances on an easy night time shore target a 5 beard rockling but guess what it didnt happen  but thats fishing for you and not for the want of trying either.
i seriously doubt if there was another angling boat afloat around our coast last night, fantastic to be out in such fine conditions in December 8) i got some strange looks from neighbours when they seen the boat been towed with rods and all, im sure they think im mad.
watching weather very closley for another opening but it's getting very tight but watch this space  .
well thats it lads tight lines for 2013 and hopefully we can improve on what we acheived this year.

Good man John, hard to keep a good man down  . Pity about the 5 beard,,,,,,I was in Bray Harbour myself last night and there was plenty of them about,,,,,,,,,,you could have cast from inside the Harbour on your boat and caught some  I got those "Surely he's not going fishing on Christmas Eve!" looks from my neighbours too  . Roll on New Year's Eve I say  Happy Christmas
