Me first spur!

got a phone call to see if i fancy going out on Kit Dunnes boat to hunt down these spurdogs and some bullhuss but we have to be leaving at 6am so i was looking forward' got up at 4am on kits boat by 6am before he was :D lol then the rest of the lads came frist time to meet and fish with these lads, john, Philip, Peter, and these lads were good anglers some had thier on boats and had fished all over the place so looking forward :D so we left 6.15am got to the spot about 7.15am just as it was getting bright so lines out and wasn't long we hitting into fish, dogs 1st then Philip pulled in the 1st spur a small one then Philip again got a knock on his rod and as he was into a good fish and with the strong tide and his rod tip getting knocked i was looking forward to see what size cause we all knew the fight he was giving philip then his head showed it was a cracker of a spurdog got it on broad boat and weight the fish it was 13lbs 10ozs his 1st specismen well done philip then he got 2 more we where all looking at him saying come on whats the story tell us what's the secret, :roll: we where all laughing :D then john pulls in a big bullhuss then the tide was getting too strong hard to keep the baits down so we wait it out kit gave us some lovely soup :D then back in with the lines more dogs for all of us till near the end i land my 1st spurdog :mrgreen: we end up back about 4.30pm. would like to say a big thanks to Kit, John, Philip, Peter, had great tme with yehs :D

nice one henry..always a good feeling catching a fish you havent caught before...its a brand new fight..deadly.

Fair play Henry sound like a good trip out..
Species 2012: Flounder, Whiting, Dublin Bay Codling, Coalie, 3 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Bass, Dogfish, 5.2lb Starry Smoothhound (PB), Twaite Shad, Thornback Ray 5.8lbs (PB), LSD, Pollock, Ballan Wrasse, Cork Wing Wrasse, 43cm Flounder (PB)

Species 2013: Coalie, East Coast Codling, Smoothounds, And hopefully a back opp to get back fishing soon...

Great report Henry it was good to meet you yesterday,we had great crack on board I have to say,kit always works hard to put us on the fish! Hopefully the weather plays ball so we can get back out again soon:-)
