People:12 anglers

Duration:10.15-1.15 and 1.30-4.30

Tide:from low to high

Weather:mostly sunny. Sheltered from the breeze.

Bait:Mac and rag

Rigs:everything!!!

Results:957 fish  Only counting the counters!!!
DABS !!!, whiting, LSD and poor cod

Report:we fished the first leg of our club master angler comp at anchor in cork harbour. This was decided due to the high winds forecast
I've never witnessed as hectic a fishing session before. It was thoroughly enjoyable.......and exhausting !!! Mainly dabs were the quarry with a good few undersized which aren't included in the fish tally. Whiting were caught also but plenty undersized ones. I was pleasantly surprised at how many fish, especially the whiting, swam off after being returned. We were only in 25m of water so I presume this helped with the survival rate of the returned fish. There were also plenty of mac caught and most of them were a very good size!!!
Roll on next leg
