People: Self only

Duration: 5 hrs

Tide: falling

Weather: Fine F2

Bait: Feathers, mackerel and shad

Rigs: Feathers, 2 hook paternoster and free lined shad

Results: Mackerel, pollock, red band, ling, pout, whiting, lsd, huss and a single haddock.

Report: Last minute decision to go to sea. Great conditions and great fishing. Session was terminated by mobile call to go to back to base. Really would have liked to have stayed and tried to increase species count.

Robbie, the red band fish. See a post of mine in the July boat fishing reports of last year. An image of the red band is there.

Hurler01, I was quite a way out. To the SE of Inisheer. Take a look at the post below, think it says something about Father's day in the title. The guy making the report seems to have taken nice flatfish ( in Galway Bay ) not so far from the shore.
