People:just two of us

Duration:6 long hours

Tide:end of ebb / start of flood

Weather:fresh but nice

Bait:frozen macs squid razor mussels and fresh lug

Rigs:everything

Results:worst day for a long time

Report:headed straight for the rock area fished for three and a half hours with no edibles one pout plenty poor cod and three fine ballans and two cuckoo's ! not good seeing that we were out for a fresh feed , so headed closer to home and picked up four pollack and one fine coalie , with time running out headed in closer to the hook and managed to pick up four good codling . when we gutted the fish they were all stuffed with sprat so i guess they just weren't interested in our baits as the fish finder had good marks of fish !

I suppose we are getting to the lowest point in water temperature. Incessant winds and prolonged rain effects water clarity. It can be a tough time for angling. For a while the benefit of getting out on the water is enough though :) It must have been nice!

hi
though i wouldnt wish a bads days fishing on anyone, its nice to see the fishings poor, when i am stuck in a school miles from the sea ,studying for the new chopper, Its a tough course, but passed the first hurdle by passing the written exam, so now to the simulator for three weeks!!
The new aircraft will be flying around ireland in early feb, and it will be online on 1st july, its a very high tech bit of kit, a massive jump from the S61, and a fine looking machine.
