With the anticyclone last tuesday,we decided the weather was suitable to try again for the tuna.
So we departed portmagee at 02:30 and headed for the edge of the shelf ie 65 mikes to the west.
here are some pics of the day.

Well done lads bloody brilliant, just as a matter of interested has anyone on this site caught tuna like those or any of a similiar size in ireland, please specify private boat or charter.

Fantastic fishing! I reckon Ireland has the best boat & shore angling in Europe. Let's keep it that way.

Since they went out of Portmagee, I'd call those Irish tuna!

caught on trolling for sure,did you guys try jigging or poppin for them?
