a great day out with a friendly skipper who unlike many simply could not do enough for you. the pollack which formed the bulk of the catch went to almost double figures and were the hardest fighters that i have encountered any where.

i've fished with captain chris and yes he comes across as a bit odd, but he is pleasant and helpful, he freely gives advice and is always on hand with the net or to undo a tangle unlike some skippers who only want your money. i had a bad experience recently where the skipper complained that there was not enough people on the boat(!) never netted a fish, undid a tangle or indeed left the wheel house! yes the fishing was good but it is doubtful that we'll be back.
