Report:

Just a brief report, first thing I'd like to say is a big thanks to Eamonn on the Autumn dream, great skipper who keeps you well informed as to conditions beneath the boat.
We started off on the hard ground looking for Codling which, apparantly have been quite prolific around the Saltees recently, erm... They weren't there yesterday, only around 5 small Codling showed up all day. There were however a few ling up about 3-4lb along with plenty of Pollack, Ballans and Cuckoos.
A move out to the sand produced a few dabs, dogs, and a Thornback for Bingham which well and truly helped on his way to winning it.
Back in to the ground close to the Saltees for some better Wrasse fishing, Bingham doing best with a fish of 4lb. A few Pollack also showed here.
Eamonn agreed to take us to try for the bass for an hour, beautiful area with a drop off from 2m to around 10m, We fished leadheads around it, a couple of heart stopping takes, but all Pollack... Never been so disappointed to see good Pollack surfacing on a spinning rod....

Once again thanks to the Skipper who was more than helpful... thoroughly recommend him.
On another note, if you're looking somewhere to stay down there the folks at Quayhouse B&B are more than hospitable, have anglers accommodation and facilities including bait fridge, freezer and wash room. A real pleasure of a stay. 8)

Sounds like a decent session Drew, probably made up for the shore fishing you had!
