Duration: 0800 to 1700

Tide: Up then down - neap

Weather: Dull all day

Bait: Mackerel

Rigs: Feathers, pirks and paternoster

Results:Mackerel, pollock, cod, haddock, red band, tope, wrasse and whiting.



Not exactly hectic fishing but a nice selection of species. Mackerel were scarce and tope plentiful.
First red band and haddock of the year.

Thanks for posting those quality shots of the Red Band, I never even heard of it, what length is that fish and what did it take?

Was about 40cm length. It took mackerel strip baited feathers near to the sea bed = 25m depth.
