Report:just a quick report on the inner harbour area. Went for a short session, few drifts of the inner harbour between camden to just past the harbour rock. The lads started picking up a few mack out from graball, very patchy but the mack were very big. I was fishing two flowing traces off a spreader bar and started getting doubles of codling around the pound mark from the start. As we drifted the turbot bank i picked up a grey gurnard, nice surprise and the first of the year. As we came over the rough ground and out over the harbour rock i picked up a few nice size whiting in the mid 30cm and one cod of about 2lb. Headed off with the makings of a fish pie in the box and a few mack for my god mother and my mechanic, keep him sweet as my car's due a service. Good start to the season. Sorry no photos. I was too busy unhooking fish for the other 2 that won't touch fish unless they really have to.
