Report:
We were keeping a close eye on the weather for the few days coming up to Sunday as we had decided to take a trip out from Bulloc Harbour. Alas when we arrived, there were no boats going out because of the high winds. Decided to toss a line out at Collimore. On arrival one chap had been spinning for mackerel for over an hour, without any joy. Al decided to try a bit of feathering and slapped on a couple of spinners to no avail. I was bait fishing. The wind was whipping up as the rain stated to peg it down. On the last cast after about two hours here, I managed to nail a small doggie.
It was then onto Dun Laoighre pier where we set up behind the band stand to get some relieve from the atrocious weather conditions. Threw everything we had at it and stayed here for about three hours.
We again up sticks and decided to try Bray harbour. But when we got here the tide was lashing out leaving just a few boats standing upright with the swans and gulls having a field day in the murky weather conditions. That was that. Decided to hit the road and head for the hills.
But we promised with a vengeance, “We’ll be back.”

Can you launch a boat out of Bullock?
Yep you can but parking for car and trailer can be limited, especially on a good day at the weekend - best to get down there early
Also there are small rental boats there, €20 p/h - but they wont let you out if its too choppy.
Tried to get out on the renatl boats from there the last 2 sundays without success

Not to sure tbh, I guess its a case of just park wherever there is space, but definately a greater chance of doing so early morning - it can be difficult enough getting parking for just a car weekend afternoons
