Report:What a glorious day...the weather was superb. By midday nearly everyone was stripping off the layers. The tide was wicked at the start. We were fishing between the forts in Deep Hole (Cork Harbour) and maybe given the big tides we should have kept out of the mainflow and fished Curlane Bank for awhile. However, as the tide eased the fish came on the feed and soon enough everyone was bringing fish onboard. As is characteristic of these comps, the craic, slagging, and banter was something to behold . Its hard to concentrate on the fishing . Nevertheless, plenty of codling, whiting, poorcod, and dabs were caught and returned. By the end of the day everyone had had a good day. Here's a pic of SAI member, and lastest Cobh SAC recruit, Even699 with a typical stamp of codling caught on the day.
