madgaine mara spiddal first trip 2011

REPORT..... got a call from kevin during the week to plan the first trip of the year... so we decided on saturday,,, weather was promised good so off we went..... steamed out of rossaveal and stoped just out side the channel for a whiting or two so max said... but ha what does he know,,,, only joken max your the best skipper in france...... nothing was caught on the drift so engine was started and kevin took us around to the far side of inis mor... he set up the drift and soon after we where landing fish after fish,, all in the good size range... kevin was first to land a cracking pollack to 6 pound and then it was max's turn and little minnow...... only joken again max just getting my 40 euros worth... yes we had a bet between max and myself for the biggest fish,,, max your the winner this time.... we had 5 species in the day which i got 4 of them,,, pollack,pouting,bullhuss,cod and cuckoo wrasse..... later on kevin decided to anchor and as always him put us right on top of the fish,,, there was 5 of us onboard and we filled 3 boxes it could have been 5 but max was missing his takes........ he is taken fishing lesson this year..... a few pictures included........sorry but have to change the size of the pictures so i will post them soon....

well done! good to get out and get a few fish!

the fishing was great, some quailty fish taken,,,, and they even tasted better that evening fresh or what......
