Tide: spring

Weather: bit of a swell early on, no wind

Report: i went to southside, there has been a run on the mickey fish
rigs, there's none left all i could get was muppet rigs. boycie has some swimming
crab rigs i reckon they are the gear of the future.

a trawler stuck fast recently on a wreck previously unknown to the commercial
men, she's about 29 mile NE of reen pier in 64 meters
this had to be our best chance for some specimen fish.

unfortunately we could not find her near the given coordinates, we decided to
try the Minnehaha, loads of pollack can be seen on the sounder

this wreck is too well known, we got plenty of pollack and ling there, but all
in the range 4 to 6lbs.

The porbeagles are known to visit this wreck regularly, this pollack
had a very lucky escape some time ago judging by the marks on his flank,

on rough ground closer to home we managed a few decent cod and ling,
the best fish was around 7 or 8 pounds
