27 fished Efsa Competition
tide was from bottom up
bait: rag and mackeral
species: Cod, ling, Pollack, Coalie, Pouting, Whiting, Ballan Wrasse, Cookoo Wrasse, red grey and tub Gurnard, Dab, Dogfish, and im sure im possily missing one or two more
we hired the boats through Angus in Dunmore East, A pleasure to fish with, he was spot on with his decisions on the ground to fish and the reports that he gave prior to fishing.
The fishing was excellent with fish only queing up to get on the hooks, nothing really stood out as being the best gear on the day it was just a matter of having hooks in the water,
Unfortunately I don’t have the results of exactly how many fish were caught or who won the event although it was close between Roy Shipway and Dave Rylands, one of the lads in the second session of the day, Joey gough had 35 cod plus 6 other species in numbers in 3 hours and other Anglers having up to 70 fish for the days angling.
Best fishing venue for me so far this year.
