Results:herring coalie cod pollack whiteing mackeral pouting red gurnard launce

Willie arived at 4.45am to set of to cork on the 2.5 hour journey,we were in the water by 8am and were into herring and codling in the harbour,we had launce and mackeral also here before headind out to try for a few pollack and other species,the pollack fishing was patchey,probably as martyn had most of them yesterday,but we managed some to 6lbs,willie had a nice cod to about 5.5lb and also some nice whiteing were got here,on the way home we stopped to drift some flat ground and i managed a specimen red gurnard 2.11lb,delighted,we headed for home but first a last stop for a few more herring for the tea,a great day out which was nice and relaxed with 9 species and a specimen,regards,eddie..............

super fishing guys and well done on the gurnard. great to be back out and straight back in to it. hope to be back on the water for the end of this month my self .thats a great days fishing id say willie was wrecked driving back after the early start

Never caught one, are they quite docile on the way up?

went to bed a t 1.45 am and up at 3.30 am good early start you will get a few extra hours in fishing :wink: :wink:

They're like turbo charged fat macks on the way up, they're pure class... Real wee fighters...
