wrecks out of dunmore east

hi all,
recently spent a few days over the weekend fishing a few wrecks out of dunmore east during what was supposed to be a fine spell of light winds! well we got the sunny south east, but not the light winds, though this didnt deter us from heading offshore.
we had some great days fishing, with each wreck we visited just full of ling, around the 7-10lb mark, we had a couple around 18lbs, but the story of the saturday was the "ones that got away" as the attached photo shows, whilst bringing up a small ling , well over half way up my friends rod got hammered, as much as he could do to hold onto the rod feeding in full drag, he could not stop whatever took his ling.
It took him all the way back into the wreck where a tug of war ensued for about five minutes when he got his line free, but with something still attached, as you can see from the picture that was all what was left of a ling!! something pretty big was hungry.
try as we might we couldnt get another run, but knowing something that size is down there will keep us returning in the hope of getting whatever it is!
we also had some great pollock fishing averaging 7-8lbs, and some cracking whiting averaging 2lbs!!, try as we might we could only get one at 2.5lbs and not get a specimum.
during the three days we managed to pick up over a dozen different species, not bad for this time of year.
will keep u posted during the year
cannot get the picture too attach any tips please?
