Dingle/Ventry 9/5/05

Fished out of Dingle harbour on SeanP's boat Megabyte yesterday.Mackeral were far and few between.Caught about 1/2 dozen and moved out to a reef were we caught lots of pollack and coalies to about 3 lb on feathers.Moved to the mouth of Ventry harbour where Sean caught 2 thornies but we were plagued with doggies.Moved back out and along the cliff face to spin for some bigger pollack but they were hard to locate with a few about the 5lb mark comind aboard.Things got quiet for a while before Sean decided to move to a reef and drift.Wow.Not many big fish but who cares when you are pulling up 5 3lb+ pollack on feathers from 100 feet.The place was covered in fish.All in all a cracking day out.Species caught were pollack,coalies,pouting,mackeral,launce,thornies and doggies.Fungi also made a couple of appearences.Cheers Sean,I promise I will help to clean out the boat next time :wink:
