Report: Got an invite from Mick Redmond of Courtown Sea Angling Centre to head out to a wreck he's been testing out. We left Port at 08:00 and steamed out around 8 miles. It was a glorious day to be out on a boat we got the gear ready on route and were ready to fish when we arrived at the mark. First drift over the wreck produced fish with some supersized Pouting been landed. We made several drifts over the wreck the wind was marginal allowing a nice slow drift over the wreck. The super structure of the wreck itself rose to 20ft in places and some fine pollack were landed to in excess of 6lbs. There were a good few small cod and good sized whiting landed. I managed a nice grey gurnard. Mick had what looked like a nice ling on the pirk put a nice hoop in his rod but it shook off after a spirited battle. There were plenty of poor cod showing also with some of the being a good size too. An enjoyable days fishing it was interesting to see what jellies were working best with green being the colour of the day. One of the lads on board Eamonn who was groundbaiting earlier took the biggest fish pool of a €5.00 a man with a fine Pollack of around 6.5lbs. Thanks to Mick Redmond for the invite and good days fishing onboard "Puffin" he'd only take price of diesel off me as he was testing out the new mark, a true gent
