People:Me, wrassbasher and efsa
Duration:sat & sun
Weather: pleasant conditions
Bait:rag & mackeral
Rigs: 1 up 1 down, shamrocks cod claspers, spreaders, hayabusa rigs
Results: ling, pollack, red gurnard, grey gurnard, cod, pouting, whiting, dogs, cookoo & ballan wrasse, plaice, dabs, plaice and dragonette.
Report:was out fishing sat & sun from dunmore east, the conditions was prefect, we used 3 boats (st Michaels, oranoco & sharpshooter) for the 2 days, the skippers were great constantly keeping us on fish with a good supply of species coming in and the boats were very clean and comfortable, the skippers were willing to meet our needs by splitting our day with half drift half anchor,
between me and wrassebasher for the weekend we had over 130 counter fish, there was not as many pollack around as expected nor was there a show of any mackeral yet, but plenty of ling , cod, pouting , cookoo's, ballans and whiting. mackeral really was the main bait working with the rag mainly getting the ballans and the few pollack that were caught
simple rigs were working best, 1 up 1down with a few beads & blades was getting almost everything, but the rig that stood out was shamrocks cod claspers, it stood out when it came to catching ling, cod & whiting, one of the lads had 9 ling on sat using it, although id recommend retying it as the knot from the boom to the snood is very poor, another rig that deserves a mention is the hayabusa gold fish skin EX 111's, im sure i will definately see those rigs in another anglers boxes from now on, they were fantastic at pulling out many different species

hi mickey
thanks for the kind words about the boats we are trying very hard to push Dunmore East as an angling port. the fishing was good for the time year pollock were scares but the other species made up for it. We hope EFSA will come back next year.
