Hadn't been out for a month so decided to give it a go even though the tides were mad strong . headed for the hook one pollack on the first drop but couldn't hold the ground with a 2knot drift ! so headed for the big rock thinking tide might be a bit better there but was wrong same 2 knots !! a couple of drifts produced pollack whiting pouting and poor cod so i decided to anchor not something i like doing but had no choice , the place was full of ballans double shots to about four pounds plenty pout and poor cod a few more pollack one codling and called it a day as the mist and fog started to roll in nearly all the fish taken on rag .

4lb wrasse are never a bad catch, especcially if your using light tackle to get a bit of scrap out of them
