Is any one fishing Lough Swilly at the moment? Anything happening - weather permitting of course. Last Feb/March had some very very good Pollack fishing over Laurentic - High pressure systems needed for calm seas.
Are there any cod around in the swilly over the winter?
Cheers

Paul,
I haven't heard of any boats being out, and we've forgot what high pressure is up here. The Rathmullan boats are out of the water until late March / early April. I'm not sure if Dessie Mills keeps his in the water. I think Sammy Scott in Downings would go out and Michael McVeigh might do the same.
Apparently there are flounder from the shore on the go.

you would be very lucky to get a good flounder this time of the year. All out spawning. Shore report on Portsalon
