People: Me
Duration: 3 hours
Tide: Rising
Weather: Slight breeze, mild, overcast
Bait: Mack and Sandeel
Rigs: Basic running ledger and Animal Rigs
Results: a ton of dogs, 2 codling and 1 thornback ray
Report: Decided to nip out for a couple of hours this morning. Went to Greystones again, as it seems to have been producing a few fish lately. Fished about 300 yards from the harbour entrance as the sea was a little lumpy today, so didn't want to chance going out any further. Had 2 codling on sandeel, the bigger one of the 2 going about a pound. Then the dogs arrived and was catching them sometimes 3 at once on the animal rigs. Just as I was sorting myself out to go back had a bite on the sandeel and this time it turned out to be a small thorny.
Not a bad mornings fishing, but I think this was the last boat trip of the year.
Cheers
Matt
