Wed May 30, 2007 12:04 pm

People:Me, George, & Martin

Duration:11am - 6pm

Tide:HT 16.54

Weather:Beautiful sunny day with SSW breeze stiffening as the day went on.

Bait:Mackeral, Squid, Sandeels

Rigs:Shads, Jellyworms, Redgills, Baited Hokkai's, Baited Pirks, Running Legers.

Results:Cod (to 8lb), Ling (to 6lb), Pollack (to 5lb), Tub Gurnard, LSD's, Dabs (& Mackeral)

Report:Fished aboard a friend's boat. First time fished in any boat other than my own in years. Thanks Martin! Drifted a reef south of Power Head. From the start we had good fishing. The ling were coming to the baited pirks with a few to hokkai flyers above. Shads & jellyworms were accounting for the cod & pollack. Even had one ling to a shad! Later in the day we returned to the Turbot Bank to fish the first of the ebb. Had about four LSD's and two dabs. One of the doggies was just short of specimen. The usual dolphins were about but instead of feeding at the harbour mouth they were about a mile south of Roches Point.
