People: JW jd

Duration: 10:30 till 15:00

Tide: started fishing around high water

Weather: 10 knot westerly, overcast

Bait: rag peeler frozen mackerel

Rigs: shamrock rigs, hookais, feathers, pulley 3 hook flapper

Results: 3 doggies, a couple of dozen small pollack and a coalfish

Report: The boat was lifted in tuesday, so it was a short trip to check everything is still working. The trim tabs are not moving. Must remember to check that before lifting in in future. Anyway engine is going well so we headed round the corner to portmarnock and achored up in 6 meters of water. After 3 doggies got bored and headed for lambay.
Started drifting at the burren rocks west cardinal mark and couldn't stop pulling in small pollack. The biggest was 35cm. Tried anchoring close to the island and got nothing and it was time to head for home.

nialler,

this is first season in malahide, so don't know much about the marks. Hope to be an expert by the end of the summer :D All the pollack were very close to the perch in about 7 meters of water
