First boat outing this year decided to head for redbay cushendall

WEATHER- fine and sunny although misty light se breeze

SEA STATE- calm near like a sheet of glass!

BAIT- mackeral and rag

RIGS- feathers,eddystone eels,jellys,running ledgers.

RESULTS- 2 cod best was 2-3lb 4 coalfish up to 1lb

CATCH AND RELEASE- yip all went back to fight another day!!

DURATION- 9am-4.30pm

CREW- me and the old man

Intention was to head out for mackeral for some bait for the swilly, didnt happen tried drifting everywere around the bay not one anywere fishing was very poor even around the salmon nets although the sight of cod was a bonus. Great to get out again on the boat im sure theres a lot of better days ahead roll on the summer time!!
