I am quite sure the skipper wanted the fish returned, but the angler wanted his glory, which is a great pity.

If a six gilled shark were to eat you then it would be at the sea bed so you would be past caring, but the chances that it would be interested are remote, to say the least

Anyone who read the account of the Dutch angler, who captured the six gilled shark, last year, will be aware that the same angler, lost big fish on several occasions the day before he caught the big shark, so I would imagine there are quite few big fish in that area.

I do reckon that there should be a ban put on the killing of any shark in Irish waters and I am not very pleased that this great fish has been killed and for what, just to satisfy the big-headedness of this angler. I am sure there are plenty who will disagree with me, but I do not care, I will stick with my opinion, which is my right.
