People: bob, bait all, brian duggan and jw
Duration: 0800-2000
Tide: suitably benign
Weather: early stage hypothermia
Bait: fresh herring
Rigs: shads, flowing traces, muppets
Results: herring, lots of octopus, whiting, hake, ling and pollack
Report: We caught lots of herring close to the rocks for fresh bait, apparently,
they were mixed 50/50 with mackerel on the saturday.
We headed quite a long way out to marks not usually fished by anglers.
Fionn caught a 7lb hake, there is a proliferation of octopi, must be the mild winters caused
by global warming. On the last wreck we fished there were plenty of ling, and i managed to
catch a specimen pollack 14lb 12oz on an orange shad

lovely fishing never seen a hake before that pollacks eye is bigger than any fish ive caught this year well done

brilliant results lads a fine days work. and a giant pollock to top it off great start to 2011.the only thing is jw every trip from now on you will have to get bigger

Well done lads. I'm booked in with for next month for a trip out on the holly jo. Looking forward to it after seeing this. fine fish. Hoping we have similar results. Wouldn't mind one of those pollack

Fantastic fish JW well done so jealous, i am due to go on the 27th could you possibly show us the shad or rigs you would reccomend. I have never wreck fished and would be a little uncetain of how to gear up
