After speaking with some commercial fishermen and learning where the spanish and french "hook and line" tuna fleet were operating .
It was with great excitement and trepidation that i left portmagee on friday morning.Despite the windy weather on wednsday /thurs the swell
had moderated enough to allow me to run the 68 mikes in about 3 hours.
On arrival in the area the conditions were amazing with just a slight swell from the NW.
I quickly went about setting up my spread of lures and set up four rods, the two outside were long and the two centre rods closer in.
and a surface popper in the propwash to add some noise and commotion.
after half an hour of watching the rods it was time for a sambo, and as is always the case guess what happens when you put food in your hand ?
bang the sh*t hits the fan with all four rods going ZZZZZZZZ and off we go.the first fish to hit the deck was this good solid 25lber.

Then rob landed what appeared to be its twin brother

things get very messy with four slobs hammering away on the deck

then after a bit of cleaning and lots of hi fives we went back to trolling .
the next fish were single strikes one plump 18lber and a little baby .so with the sun starting to set and mission accomplished we decided to
head for home, in the beautiful calm conditions i managed to maintain an average 25knots
