Catch and Release:: Yes

Report: evening started off perfectly, lovely surf running. first cast out resulted in a 2 lb bass to a very big black lug bait, gave a nice slack line bite.second cast out resulted in a repeat ot this. i thought it was my lucky nite. the following 3 casts resulted in 3 coalies. at this stage it had been raining quite relentlessly for the previous 40 mins and our patience was wearing thin, esp with me suffering from a cold and having to work tomorre (colds dont go down too well in the clinic).dave had also got a small codling by this stage. finally we decided to give up with the best stage of the tide still to come.... and of course murphys law being murphys law, the second we arrived home it stopped and the moon made an appearence, ah well.

2 other things i got outta this trip was that i got to try out my 6500c3 and my anyfish anywhere bib and brace. the reel firstly i couldnt be happier with.although it has bushes over bearings (easily replaced) its a pleasure to use. had no difficulty in reaching 120+ yds with a lob and 15 lb mono.
the bib and brace also performed commendably. ive heard some negativity about this bib and brace but all i can say is that i was stood for about an hour and a bit in heavy rain and i was bone dry
