People:myself
Duration:2-6
Tide:ebbing
Weather:warm, breezy and a sea which was perfect
Bait:black lug and makerel
Rigs:pennel clip down and rotten bottom with an abu 7000 with 40lb line srtraight through but put a shock for long casting.
Results:3 cod, one was 5.5lb ,3 whiting on was 1lb.
Catch and Release:: Yes
Report:fished the rock spit up from where the shanganagh river flows into the beach, was hopping for a nice bass, as someone caught 6lb one here during the week. on the second cast caught double shot of a small codling and a small whiting. the next few casts landed me another whiting and then it went quite for a while.
i then tried fishing at range (160) and hooked a nice 5.5lb red cod the downside was ive lost tons of gear at this point and had to move down the beach into the clean ground. only got another small cod and a 1lb whiting.
not bad.
hopefully ill get a digital camera for x-mas as im jealous of people with pictures on their reports.

Great fish Gazo, seems a few quids worth of lost lead is needed to pull out the bigger fish, fair play for perseverance.
