Report:

After Merv and Liam losing a lot of gear at the ledges and the wind picking we moved onto waterfoot pier. Liam caught a nice mackerel, Would have made lovely fresh bait. ;)

Got to waterfoot about 1:30 or. Great craic all day. not many fish caught though. Liam caught a nice dab which was returned safely.

After blanking last week, i made it a mission not to have a repeat performance. It was getting late and I still had nothing to report. So I decided to use a float and baited up with a cocktail of everything we had left. (rag, mackerel and squid). While packing the other rod..................the float went under.........I waited it in anticipation..........knock KNOCK............................ lifted the rod. reeled it in and it was a nice coalie.... And I didn't blank... Ye ha.. Great feeling. It was returned safely to safe me once again from blanking :)

i blanked this week still it was good fun winding Liam up about the mackerel  there was another guy there fishing with a Paul Kerry daiwa rod he was thinking of changing to a mutliplyer so i let him have a rip with my Penn villain and 525 mag and i think we have another convert to the mutliplyer :D and Steve AKA round_ourway showed him some knots for shock-leaders as the guy is a fly fisherman most of the year it was good crack tho
