Report: Arrived in Clonea to meet the master himself, Cortaz. Everything seemed perfect. The surf was great and by and large the day was not too bright. We were convinced that the bass would throw themselves at us.It seems that they knew that a storm was on the way and had gone on holidays.....ah well that's fishing!!!

Thanks again to Cortaz for giving up his time.

A good blow is ok for fishing but the s/w winds lately are sturring too much sand and this gets clogged in the fishes gills, so their incline to stay off the beaches.

I would agree with you. I also think that fish can sense when there is a storm coming and head out into deeper water. Survival rather that feeding is more important to them.
