Fished just below the carpark behind the football pitch,coalies ranging in size from a few ounces up to about two lbs.they are more off a nuisance than anything else, i tried every everything to try to avoid them but in less than a minute or so they were on the bait every cast. :roll:
but you can only catch whats there.
noticeable lack of doggies lately :?:

where do you dig your lug mate, the beach I normally use( lag. a.k.a five fingers strand) has become very barren this weather. pm me if you don't want to give the stop away.

Its december :roll: , dogfish fishing seems to slow up at this time every year in my opinion :shock:

hairyconger, doggies have been scarce on the beaches i regularily fish this year,not just this winter :roll: i have been fishing these marks for years i normally would be fed up catching them on night time sessions but they have been noticable by their absence this year.

i have a caravan in downings also, have noticed how much the fishing has declined in the last while its a shame there used to be some cracking marks around there..i guess we are been hopefull for it to recover :x

Doggies have been up and down alot with us at the moment. Some nights there are plenty and then they seem to dissappear completely. Cant see any apparent reason for it.

well thats another thing pete when they are around there around in huge numbers..great fun when you can hardly get the rod back to the rest without interest from another :D

I been fishing on the beach and there is times you just hold the rod as each time the bait touches down the doggies bite.
