good stuff as ever cortaz.

what size bass do you find is best to eat. I once had a 7lbs fish that my dad had caught, deep hooked we got it back but it washed up after five mins so we kept it. found it pretty tough and flavourless compared to the only other two we have ever kept (both about 3). is it like trout where the smaller ones are nice and sweet but the bigger ones are like old boots?

we once caught an 8lbs rainbow escapee in a river and killed it , more as it was competition to the brownies than anything. god it was awful, like eating fecking leather (except less tasty)

i think bass in the 2/4 range make the best eating, with white fish, cod, yting, ect the bigger the better.
sea trout over 4lb loose there flavor and get a bit chewie, lobsters are the same the bigger ones are a lot more chewie.
