Catch and Release:: Yes
Report:blanked near here yesterday decided to give the walter rock mark a go today. yesterday while looking for this spot missed it because it was high tide, then seen an angler called Micheal fishing further along just set up beside him, had good craic all day he caught 1 small wrasse 1/2 lb to 3/4lb. He also gave me a bag of lugworm which he had dug as he said he was gonna dump them, which i used today.
With the very strong tide running there seemed to be about 2 hrs of real good conditions, other than these times i was loosing a rig a cast for a while, the tide runnin through was so strong a 6oz grip did nothing but go with it. I was prob fishin here at the wrong time or wrong equipment.
But was more than happy with the wrasse was a nicly marked fish. The cod was so small and had taken on a red color or the weeds. Hope to catch it again in a few yrs time.

Just keep trying I'm sure there are good fish to be had off that mark.I would normaly fish this mark at low water off the rocks opposite the Walter rock.From here your fishing into deeper water and not having to try and get through a load of weed.You could also try fishing your rigs with a rotten bottom it should save you a few quid.

A couple of hundred yrds up the lough from the ferry car park.You will see it better at low tide.

Thanks, might give it a try some time.
Would that be to the right hand side as you look at the ferry car park or to the left hand side up the narrows?

If your standing in the car park looking at the water its on your right.
