People: me and eddie

Duration: 2 hours

Tide:high and falling

Weather:dead calm and damn cold

Bait:lug,crab,razor

Rigs:2 hook paternoster (and some mad setup with eddie??)

Results:4 coalies and 2 codling

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:

Fished the left side of the point on a falling tide - got loads of nibbles and hard bites which didnt produce feck all - after half hour landed a small coalie and followed immediately by a codling. Took eddie almost an hour to hook up an average sized coalie and that was it for him - nothing after that until he had a crack off (so he says - I reckon his knot tying was to blame :P ) and left his trace and bait somewhere in the channel :( . This pi**sed him off so much he gave up and came over to me to annoy me with his tales of woe :D
Anyway I carried on and finished our short session with the other codling and coalies.
None of em put up any great fight which surprised me given the way the rod was rattling on the bites??

All in all a good night but was really cold - my coke was almost iced!! :D
I have really got to get a decent set of gear or I'll be found frozen on a beach somewhere like Jack Nicholson in The Shining :lol: :lol: :lol:

My first coalies and codling so again another couple for the species list tonight!! Yippee :D :D :D

Onwards and upwards........

John.
