Report:
After hearing a few very reliable reports that Killiney was fishing it socks off, wen there full of confidence on Saturday afternoon with a nice south easterly putting some surf on a chocolate coloured sea. With the best of bait I tried all ranges between 10 - 120 yds to the left of the tea rooms down near white rock. I think I remember reading a report from Gazo saying he never has good results here in a dirty sea, spot on that man. One guy had a small codling in front of the car park, that was it.
All afternoon I had been admiring 2 Handgliders which has taken off from the top of Killiney Hill, with the bad fishing I was sure I could trade my gear in for one of these. One lad came down and landed in a jog on the beach, class. As I was talking to the guy who had caught the codling we watched as the other guy came down barely cleared the Live DART Line and very nearly came a cropper on the Tea Rooms, the guy definitley came back to earth with a bump. I went over to see if he was ok and he was obviously in agony, he said he'd dislocated his shoulder in the air making his final turn and he couldn't really stear to well on the way in, he also tod me if he had been turning out to sea that would have been curtains because he wouldn't have been able to turn back. Any way I gave him a hand to get out of the harness and stuff and called an ambulance to get him. Hope you're back up there soon Phil!
All the same, I don't think I'll trade in me gear for that glider just yet

Hows it going mate, did you fish just in the afternoon or try after darkness..? Thinking of giving it a go myself soon this week. Tides are great for an evening session all week.
