no probs Steve that tip i showed you for the multilayer relay dos work and will give you more distance line lay is important if you want to get out as far as you can. and casting i know i can get a very long way out with a simple of the ground cast on the beach so don't worry about all this fancy crap at the min just get a good casting style that you are happy doing master it and then work from there. it has been a long time since i used a mutli but you have given me the bug again

PS. if you don't mind pm me and tell me were you got that rod it's a real beauty to cast

Sun Oct 15, 2006 11:15 pm

i like fishing with fixed spool all way use to it :D

Sun Oct 15, 2006 11:22 pm

i'm the same bigliam. i know the benefits of a multiplier but i'm to set in my ways with using the fixed spool. also think the fixed spool is handier for switching tactics quickly. never seen anyone fish the sliding float with a multiplier reel.

Sun Oct 15, 2006 11:40 pm

I have to say the multiplier is proving to be far better than a fixed spool.
