Thu Oct 12, 2006 1:03 pm

People: Me

Duration:20.00 - 00.00

Tide: LW 19.30

Weather: Calm and dry

Bait: Mackeral

Rigs: Conger, pennel clipped and 2 hook pat

Results: :oops: :oops: 1 crab

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:
I started at Blackhead in the hope of some conger - as usual I packed too much gear and was fecked by the time I got to the mark :shock: :shock:.

1 cast to distance resulted in a lost rig, I decided to put that rod away, 3 short casts for conger all lost as well. Packed up and went home.

On the way home I decided to give Carrick Pier a blast with the remaining mackeral.... 1 crab, lots of bites but no fish landed.

Went home in the huff :evil: :evil:

until next time.....

Hi Jonny,

inside or outside harbour?

Do you use a drop net for the wrigglers?

inside towards the breakwater and as for the wrigglers they are easy to get up the side hand lining them or if u hook into the big eel which alot of people have with me bein the closest to gettin it up you will need a drop net or any type of big net cause this thing is huge estimate around high 30's low 40's
