Report:headed up hoping to winkle out a few turbot but it was a no show by them but we picked up a few of the best gurnards we:d had of the shore this year all between 1.25lb and 1.5b, lots of small flats on the bottom stripping our baits all day long.
there was a big swell running past the rock mark we were fishing and the beach was full of surfers and a mad man in a canoe,we were sitting watching the swell and our rods when a large rogue swell headed our way and my dad said to me this looks like a nasty one  ,it was higher than the rocks we were standing on which were 8ft above the sea and this wave was 6ft above them before we could react the water was rushing all round us  so we took this as a warning and packed up, and as we arrived at my van we looked down to see an even larger swell engulf the whole rock platform which surely would have swept us and our rods into the atlantic  called into c/dun on way home still unfishable due to weed
