Ballintoy 1/10/2006

Sun Oct 01, 2006 11:35 pm

People:Me and Mate

Duration:2pm till 8pm

Tide:high then fall

Weather:slight breeze then calm and sunny

Bait:Rag, Squid, Mackie, Sandeel

Rigs:clipped down, running ledger

Results:1 pollock,2 very small codling, 1 doggie

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:Fished the rocks to the right off the harbour. The mate got the pollock and 2 very small codling. though i was going to blank until i managed to get the doggie on sandeel. lots off small bites and stripped baits all day, must have been more wee codling or something, as the codling that where caught were smaller than the bait and just got caught by luck when stealing bait. Most of my Sandeel came back with just the head and back bone, so the day was a bit frustrating.

The codling couldn't have been any smaller at Donaghadee earlier tonight, the last one was the size of drew's finger :lol:
