I went to whitehead and portmuck but i didn't fancy staying there for any length of time with the waves crashing over me so i went for a bit of shelter and headed to carrick. not a thing and the crabs where eating everything in site. I used various different rigs but no luck. I did get a huge bite whilst drinking a cup of tea and i was to late and spilt my tea, :D :D

sounds like a monster eel. there seems to be plenty of smaller ones about too.. plenty of small fish for them to feed on!

that would have scared the life outa me. I have only been a couple of times at night down in carrick. surprising how quickly it gets dark. That fella has some job ahead of him cleaning that watch tower. I think he's making it into a art gallery or something. I couldnt see him getting planning permission for it to tell you the truth. he needs to much exterior space for fire stairs and clearance around the perimeter and he doesnt have it to the waterside. But hey u never know

did the conger bust your mainline or what jonny?
if you target them so much why not make a big drop net to take with you all the time so as you can get them up once you do get them?

no was talking to the fella who is restoring it. He said he's going to make it into an art gallery. Dont think he realised how much work was in it

strange place to have an art gallery!!! remember a few years ago someone bought it and tryed to start a radio station. zeni sound i think.. for about two weeks in july when the harbour was packed with mackie bashers they had big speakers out and the music pumpin. thats as far as it got. after that it became home to a million pigeons
