Report: I wasn’t going to put this report in but what to hell.

I went out on my bike today and decided to go fishing I went to the black arch in Larne. Only had my spinning rod with me but I wanted to do a bit of float fishing. I got there at 2:00 pm or there about there was two other young lads fishing they were about 9-10 year Old’s they caught a doggy at about 2:45 and were scared to torch it I went over and showed them how to lift a doggy then showed them that if you run you fingers one way it is smooth and if you rub them the other way its rough. I think it’s good to show kids I was the same age when some one showed me anyway I went back to my float fishing 30 minutes later they had caught another doggy they were able to take it of on there own witch is good at about 3:30 two guys showed up and had set up they got a doggy and gave it to the kids who were keeping them for there cat. At 3:45 the kids had caught a small Pollack finger size I left at 4:00 pm gave the kids what was left of my rag and mackerel and went home. One thing I would say if you are in to doggy bashing this is the spot bottom fish it with lead lifts and it would be perfect the people that were there didn’t have any but got snagged from time to time anyway hope you enjoy the report and that it will be of some use to some of you rock fishermen out there

bit disturbed that people r keeping dogfish to feed their cats!! which i believe is probably a lie. i love catching a fish for the table but i would never keep a dogfish. the one thing u didn't teach these kids was that dogfish isn't a great eating fish and sould be at all times released.

i know rab when i had a cat i use to keep one or two doggy's for him and he enjoyed it. i take the head and tail of run the knife up the belly of it and steimed it then just pick the meat of when its done.
