Results:3 pollock, pouting, poor cod and 2 conger

Catch and Release:: Yes



Report:started off slow.. i caught 3 small pollock while float fishing for mack's, caught a conger while un-tieing a birdsnest on nige's boat reel
then caught a pouting.. nige caught his conger on the boat rod(we didnt even know it was there till it cleared the water) thought it was weed..
then on my last cast i caught the poor cod, nice size too

Nice one Steve , I lost a cracking conger of the end of the pier about 15 years ago , thrashing and spinning on top of the water but spat the hook before i could get it walked round to the steps at the side :oops:
Wonder if he,s still around ??

probably not... the amount of congers that get lifted from the water there is unreal... and i think quite a few have gone into the pot...
i've even taken the odd 15lb'ers home (so yummie)

but i do know there is one really big one(30lbs+) that lurkes around there, and i'd say it has more jewelry than piercing shop.. :shock: :shock:
only saw it once at low water a few years ago, and it has a few scars as well..
if i ever caught him, he'd go back out of respect :)
