Results: 2 codling, 2 pollack and 1 coalie


Report:was looking like a super session in the making , first 4 casts 4 fish within 45 mins :D then darkness came and all went quiet with only 1 codling in the next 3 hrs :(
then we were standing yarning in the dark when on three occasions i heard a splashing noise behind us wondering what it was and thinking of rats stealing the bait i then caught sight of a fish flapping about in a rock pool 30 ft away from the sea , on inspection we found 5 wrasse and 3 pollack in the rock pool in rain water not looking too healthy :twisted: some tw*t of a sunday fair weather summer line dipper had caught them and went home and left them high and dry were the tide would never had released, them if you dont want to eat your catch release them, this type of cruelty sickens me
all fish went back in the sea and swam away except for one pollack which died and our good deed for the day was over.
called into g/arm reakwater on the way home for an hour which was also very quiet just one monster of a bite which dropped the bait and scarperred

People really need to be educated....

I think that a Code of Conduct for fishing should be established....

Yea, that really is way out of order :x

Code of conduct sounds like a good idea, if everyone read it then it would hopefully educate people to realise that not only does this sort of behaviour give angling as a whole a bad name - it also hurts their own fishing in the long run.

thing is, I bet these are the same " Anglers" that do all the bitchin about there not being the same quality of fish that there used to be. :!:

Cruelty at the highest level......It shouldnt be allowed.....but how do you stop it? :roll: ........People leaving fish about on rocks, beaches etc need dealing with...rubbish is also a major problem at alot of marks around the north coast

this problem of cruelty and tiddler bashing is mostly seen in the summer months by anglers who go fishing for something to do over the holidays and probably never fish again at all in their lives
i;m all for introducing new anglers to our sport and seeing them get enjoyment out of it by returning as many fish as possible alive to fight another day and be free of torture and cruelty
