Hi Guy's,

new to this site, gonna' be visiting Kinsale area 13 - 16 Sept moving to Dingle 16th for 1 week. I know Dingle pretty well have visited about a dozen times. Don't know Kinsale area at all though. I would appreciate it if any of you guy's can give me the low down on how both are fishing these days? Arrived in Dingle last year following the 'red tide' had Pollack between us up to 7lb + 2 float fished Conger up to 12lbs in bright sunshine from the gulley to the right of the steps by the lighthouse. Returned beginning of June n' found fishing very hard. Had acouple of Thornies from Reenbeg n' 1 good Pollack from the rocks to RHS of Trabeg.

Cheers

John

Hi fellas,

hoping to target Bass, Conger n' Ray's. Had a Conger 2yr ago from Dingle harbour, estimated at 40lb, caught it on the float! Had a few last year, but nothing approaching that size. Fishing was really poor last Sept, at least it was for us, resorted to visiting the Shannon estuary. Didn't catch anything bottom fishing from the lighthouse and had only 1 Thornie from Reenbeg. Thank's for the link, I've already seen it, reallly interested in how the area's fishing now. BTW, spent ages last night looking through old posts, think the forums really fantastic!

cheers guy's

Had my first visit last year and got very disappointed with the fishing, being told all about the red tide. Was due back this next week but a new house had to put it on hold. Saving my £2 coins already for another trip next year. Would like to meet up with some members to give us a few tips. Absolutely loved the hospiatlity and scenery.

Hi johnny

It fished well, i will put up a report when i can. the pollock fishing was particularly good, the wrasse fishing was good too. fished the rocks from the creek and around ballydavid. had pollock to 7 and wrasse to over 5lbs, plus dogs, macks, gar and coalfish. we didnt bother fishing for bass or ray.
