[b]Report[Nice morning for fishing, broken cloud - some sun. Got to Kiloughter at 8ish - setup straight away with 2 rods, frozen sand eels on both and casted to the horizon. Spotted the tell tale tap tap on one rod after a few minutes and struck - pulled in a red gurnard (a first for me) of a pound or so - brilliant looking fish. I'd caught it on a rod I got from Lidl the 'telescopic 15' light beachcaster' - not a great rod but very good for detecting bites !
There were small shoals of mackerel moving up the beach every 30 minutes or so - jumping after sprats/fry - I only managed to get one though on a toby. The doggies came about one every half hour, on sandeels and mackerel, caught some really close in - maybe 20 yards
A nice days fishing, not too much weed, not too much of a tidal rip and a few fish as well !
