Tide:
Rising
Weather:
Mild + Overcast, bit windy
Bait:
Lures/Feathers/Sandeel/Squid
Rigs:
Paternoster, float, feathers
Results:
1 small Pollock, 1 small Coalfish
Report:
Headed down for a few hours fishing after work.
Fished the rough ground along the back of the pier with the lighthouse from the bend up to the end of the pier.
Fishing was pretty rubbish, not a Mackeral to be seen. People had caught a few Pollock earlier in the day on rag.
We managed two small fish between us on legered sandeel.
The ground is so rough & tackle hungry that fishing light is out of the question.
Not a touch on feathers/lures etc.
Lots of small fish around the edges of the harbour, was trying to catch them on small pieces of sandeel on a size 20  hook to
see what species they were to no avail.
Think they may have been small mullet. (about 4-5 inches long)
Lots of seals about which may account for the poor fishing...
