Report:
Had some scrappy ragworm left from boat trip day before. Was rather surprised when I pulled 2 ballan wrasse of about a pound or so each out from the corner of the marina. First time I have seen them caught there...
They were caught close in at the corner of the pier of the new marina at slack water. (v snaggy)

Went back late that evening to try for bass at the end of the rising tide
I left my spinning rod behind, which i regretted when I saw the amount of fry skitting the surface..
a few knocks, and then I had to give up..

Was watching that from Cahore Pt. Spectacular. Nice photo.

What's the nearest miss anyone hear has had with lightning while fishing? Closest I came was at Morriscastle about 3 years ago. Could see the storm getting pretty close so I lay the rod down and took shelter. There was a lightening strike just a few hundred yeards out to sea from where I was hiding. The rain was so heavy the beach flooded wither rivers and pools of water forming on the sand.
